SITUATION CHICAGO II

Part 2 of the rally to support Chicago’s beloved music venues.

Following the success of their first 25-track compilation album, the folks at Quiet Pterodactyl have teamed up with 10 more artists to create a continuation of the non-profit collaborative project, Situation Chicago. In tune with Chicago’s supportive spirit, Situation Chicago is a compilation album consisting of singles written and performed by Chicago artists passionate about the livelihood of local music venues. Backed by local businesses such as Dark Matter Coffee, Jeppson's Malört, and Nature's Grace & Wellness and pressed by Smashed Plastic, Situation Chicago donates 100% of its proceeds to organizations providing aid to independent music venues that have been affected by the pandemic.

From big names such as Umphrey’s McGee, to up and coming indie artists V.V. Lightbody and MIIRRORS, Situation Chicago II features 10 diverse artists that bring a variety of sounds and styles to the table. Regardless of music taste, this 10-track record is bound to have something for everyone, and hopefully introduce listeners to new sounds.

While the resurgence of live music may be on the horizon, independent music venues have never had to fight harder to keep their doors open. By purchasing this record, we create an optimistic future for the venues that bring us special live music experiences.
